CARING FOR YOUR JEWELLERY

  • Avoid exposure to water and remove before showering, swimming, or exercising as some stones can be extremely sensitive to this.

  • To reduce the risk of damage, It’s best to remove your jewellery at bedtime.

  • Some stones will fade in direct sunlight such as long exposure to sunbathing or under a sun bed. These ancient stones are beautiful and deserve to be cared for.

  • Most Cicadaseed pieces have been oxidised. Oxidisation is a natural process which happens over time to silver jewellery. This desired reaction is sped up using liver of sulphur, either painted on or dipped to create lowlights and highlights. This oxidised finish will get darker in some places with wear and natural body oils and can also become more polished in other areas over time. It is the natural journey of your silver jewellery.

  • If you would like to polish or clean your Cicadaseed jewellery you can do so with a soft soapy toothbrush. Please be aware to only clean the metal as mentioned above, some stones can be sensitive to water.

  • You can use an anti-tarnishing cloth to bring back the shine.

  • When applying make-up, body lotions or perfumes, please remove your new treasure until you are ready to party!
