SUSTAINABILITY

  • We are living in a world where it is more important than ever to create a sustainable business. My work does involve many forms of packaging from what I send out, to what I buy in for materials.

  • I make it a high priority to buy my materials from small businesses or companies that send orders in sustainable packaging, ie. paper and cardboard.

  • Both the silver and gold that I buy is recycled and once I have finished with my scraps, I recycle the pieces once more.

  • The packaging that I send out to you is made from recycled paper and cardboard and from a lovely little family run company in the UK. I love to use brown paper tape for all my parcels, after all, why wouldn’t you? (however sometimes at the post office they do like to add their own plastic tape if their stickers are not wanting to stick!)

  • Please recycle the packaging that you receive from me. This could be in your recycle bin or re-using the padding to wrap a gift for a friend.

  • I try to use small businesses to buy my supplies from and usually only buy from the UK.

  • I am careful to use sustainably sourced and ethical Gem stones from reputable dealers in the UK. This means fair working conditions, sustainable mines, workers rights and transparent supply chains.

  • My studio is very small and I do not produce much chemical waste as I mainly use natural alternatives. Any toxic liquids are safely disposed of as hazardous waste.
